Sinking into this lonely desk
reduced to my lowest common denominator,
I’ve discovered the duel meaning of having countless math problems,
and that’s not even adding my inability
to order the operations
of this calculator.

“Pythago-who?” Theorem sounds like it belongs on pancakes,
not math tests. And don’t even get me started on Pi.

So, as I sit here deciphering what can only be
summed up as a combination of Greek and Squiggly,
I can’t help but raise my hand to ask that age-old question:
“Where am I going to use this stuff anyway?”
